A salesperson is required to have completed a total of 18 semester (270 classroom) hours of education, at least 14 semester (210 classroom) hours of which must be in core real estate courses, by the end of their first year of licensure.
Accumulated hours required for real estate salespersons applying on or after January 1, 2006

Once licensed, the salesperson must then complete an additional 60 core real estate classroom hours during the first year of licensure, for the totals seen below:

NOTE: Should the hours be completed PRIOR to the first renewal, the licensee will have satisfied the SAE requirements, and will then be under Mandatory Continuing Education (MCE) requirements.

On February 20, 2004, the Appraiser Qualifications Board of The Appraisal Foundation adopted changes to the Real Property Appraiser Qualification Criteria that went into effect on January 1, 2008. These changes represent the minimum national requirements that each state must implement for individuals applying for a real estate appraiser license or certification as of January 1, 2008. Yes, there are three levels of licensure:
There is not an educational requirement for the Apprentice Inspector. For both the Real Estate Inspector and Professional Inspector, there are two paths to licensure. One path is the "Three Tier Progression" and the other path is the "Fast Track (Education/Experience Waiver)". Both require a mixture of education and experience, but the requirements are different for each path. The Apprentice Inspector does not have an educational requirement. For the other two levels, the following is the educational requirement:
Yes, all licensees must pass the Board approved examination. (Not applicable to the Apprentice Inspector)

Before an apprenticeship may be considered complete, the apprentice inspector must have performed 25 inspections under supervision.
